High-Point Sail Tensile Canopies
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Project Overview
Over 4,000 m² of Tensile Canopies Delivered in Just 18 Days
Al-Bereik Shades successfully delivered the complete design, engineering, fabrication, supply, and installation of over 4,000 m² of architectural tensile shade structures for Riyadh Car Festival 01, organized by SEVEN in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Acting as the main contractor, Al-Bereik Shades executed two large-scale sail-inspired tensile canopies, each measuring approximately 100 meters in length and 20 meters in width. The structures feature inclined steel masts, tension cables, and high-performance PVC/PVDF membranes weighing 1,100 GSM, manufactured by Obeikan.
The entire project, from engineering and fabrication to final installation, was successfully completed within just 18 days. This achievement demonstrates Al-Bereik Shades' ability to deliver large-scale tensile structures under exceptionally demanding schedules while maintaining engineering precision, construction quality, and architectural excellence.

Engineering Highlight
Rapid-Execution Sail Tensile Structures
The project's defining engineering achievement was the complete delivery of over 4,000 m² of tensile shade structures within just 18 days, covering engineering, fabrication, membrane production, supply, and installation.
The structural system incorporates inclined steel masts, tension cables, and alternating high and low membrane connection points, creating a series of sweeping, sail-inspired tensile surfaces.
